19th century Japanese Imari vase/ urn. This is an unusual urn shape so it may be used as a vase.  The lid is stated to be with this vase by association and is not a precise match.  There are three distinct scenes handpainted around the body of the vase.  One is birds, one is plants and flowers and the other is mountains and temples.
